What is calcium formate?

Feed grade calcium formate is a calcium salt containing formic acid, containing 31% calcium, 69% formic acid, neutral pH value, and low water content. Mixing calcium formate into additive premix will not cause vitamin loss, and free formic acid can be separated under the action of gastric acid to reduce gastric pH value. Calcium formate has a high melting point and can decompose only when it is above 400°C. It will not be destroyed in the granulation process.

Function of calcium formate

1.Feed addtitives. As feed additives, which can stimulation animals appetite and Reduce the rate of diarrhea. After animal be weaned, add 1.5% calcium formate in feed, which can improve animal growth rate more than 12%. 2.Construction. In winter ,Calcium formate can be used as acceleration concreting for cement. Dry-Mix system . accelerate the cement hardening rate, shorten the coagulation time, especially in the winter construction, to avoid condensation at low temperatures.
