It is used for organic synthesis and pesticide production. Trichloroethylene can be used as a repellent for intestinal worms; hexachloroethane, as animal repellent, to prevent and control ruminant animal liver vermiculiosis and stomach vermiculiosis, clonorchiasis and nematodiasis.
