n-Hexane is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C6H14. It belongs to the straight-chain saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is obtained from crude oil cracking and fractional distillation. It is a colorless liquid with a faint special odor. It is volatile, almost insoluble in water, and easily soluble in chloroform, ether, and ethanol [1] . Mainly used as solvent, such as vegetable oil extraction solvent, propylene polymerization solvent, rubber and paint solvent, pigment thinner. [2] It is used for the extraction of oils and fats in various edible oils and spices such as soybean, rice bran and cottonseed. In addition, n-hexane isomerization is one of the important processes for producing high-octane gasoline blending components

Application

1. Mainly used as a solvent, such as a solvent for the polymerization of olefins such as propylene, an extractant for edible vegetable oil, a solvent for rubber and paint, and a diluent for pigments. Plus, it''s a high-octane fuel. 2. Mainly used for atmospheric monitoring and preparation of standard gas and calibration gas. 3.
