Malic acid CAS No 6915-15-7 Application: 1.used as a sour agent for refreshing drinks and food, color retention agent for fruit drinks, preservatives (emulsion stabilizer for mayonnaise, etc.). 2.used in medicine, cosmetics, dental solution, metal cleaning agent, buffer, textile industry with coagulant, industrial deodorant,polyester fiber fluorescent icalbook light brightening agent raw materials and the manufacture of alkyd resin monomer, etc. 4.When used as a flavor enhancer, flavor enhancer, adjuvant and pH control agent, the United States prescribs no more than 6.9% in hard candy and approximately 6.7% in other foods, but neither malic acid should be used in baby food.
