Since the molecule is chiral, it exists in either of two enantiomers as well as the racemic mixture, known as paramandelic acid. Mandelic Acid is a colorless chemical, flake or powder solid, light color, slight odor. Soluble in hot water, ethyl ether and isopropyl alcohol.
