Application of methyl orange

1.Methyl orange is a commonly used indicator for acid-base titration in analytical chemistry, and is not suitable for use as an indicator for titration of organic acids. The pH of the 0.1% aqueous solution is 3.1 (red) ~ 4.4 (yellow), which is suitable for titration between strong acid and strong base and weak base. It is also used for spectrophotometric determination of chlorine, bromine and bromide ions, and for biological dyeing.
