Products Description
Cyclohexane is a colorless flowing liquid with gasoline smell. It is insoluble in water and miscible with ethanol, ether, acetone, benzene and other organic solvents. Its solubility in methanol is 57 parts of cyclohexane (25 ℃) can be dissolved in 100 parts of methanol. It is easy to volatilize and burn. The flash point is 18 ℃, and the vapor and air form an explosive mixture. The explosion limit is 1.3 ~ 8.3% (volume). It is relatively stable to acids and alkalis. It does not react with medium concentration nitric acid or mixed acid at low temperature. It nitrates with dilute nitric acid in a sealed tube above 100 ℃ to form Nitrocyclohexane. Under the catalysis of platinum or palladium, the dehydrogenation reaction occurs above 350 ℃ to form benzene. It is isomerized with alumina, molybdenum sulfide, Paleozoic and nickel aluminum at high temperature to form methylpentane. It is isomerized to METHYLCYCLOPENTANE with aluminum trichloride under mild conditions.
