Application: BMS is a highly reactive Type II photoinitiator and will induce the rapid photo-polymerisation when formulated with a suitable tertiary amine. 1.Printing inks 2.Clear over print varnishes 3.Adhesives 4.Fibre optics 5.Decorative coatings for metal cans and food cartons Suggested levels of use are 0.2 – 5% w/w BMS together with 2 – 5% w/w amine (quantities vary depending on individual formulations and applications).
Advantages of Photoinitiator BMS: 1.In conjunction with ITX / DETX and EDB, BMS efficiently initiates the polymerisation of pigmented systems. 2. Good solubility properties in BEDB. 3. Suitable for white and clear systems. 4. Low migration. 5. In combination with aminobenzoates, BMS provides fast, efficient initiation. 6. Low yellowing.
Storage: Stable for at least 2 years at 20°C in a sealed container in the dark. Package: 20kg or 25kg fiber drum
