1.Adipic acid is used primarily as a raw material in nylon 66 and engineering plastics, as well as in various ester products, as a raw material in polyurethane elastomers, and as an acidifier in various foods and beverages, sometimes better than citric acid and tartaric acid. 2.Adipic acid is also used in yeast purification, pesticides, adhesives, synthetic leather, synthetic dyes and spices. 3.Adipic acid has a mild and lasting taste, and has a small pH change in a wide range of concentrations. It is a good pH regulator.
