Products Description
Ethyl chloride is a gas at normal temperature and pressure, and is a colorless, low-viscosity, volatile liquid at low temperature or compressed. Very flammable. Has an ether-like odor. Dry chloroethane is stable and non-corrosive, but it will be hydrolyzed into alcohol in the presence of water and alkali, and the chlorine atom is prone to substitution reaction, and it has good thermal stability, similar to methyl chloride.
Used as raw material for tetraethyl lead, ethyl cellulose and ethyl carbazole dyes. Also used as aerosols, refrigerants, local anesthetics, insecticides, ethylating agents, olefin polymerization solvents, gasoline anti-vibration agents, etc. It is also used as a catalyst for polypropylene, a solvent for phosphorus, sulfur, grease, resin, wax, etc., and for the synthesis of pesticides, dyes, medicines and their intermediates.
