Colorless Transparent liquid, flammable. It can be mixed with organic solvents such as water, alcohol, ether, ester, benzene, chloroform and aromatic compounds. It is used to make medicines, synthetic resins, and also used as a solvent for polyacrylonitrile spinning and from carbon. Eight fractions are used to separate the extractive distillation solvent of styrene, etc. It is prepared by the action of dimethylamine and acetyl chloride.

(1) Used as a raw material for synthetic fibers and an excellent polar solvent for organic synthesis; used for organic synthesis, and also used as a solvent, catalyst and paint remover; (2) DMAC is mainly used as a solvent for synthetic fiber (acrylonitrile) and polyurethane spinning and synthetic polyamide resin. It is also used as an extractive distillation solvent for separating styrene from the C8 fraction, and is widely used in polymer films; coatings and Medicine and other aspects. At present, it is widely used to synthesize antibiotics and pesticides in medicine and pesticides. (3) It can be used as reaction catalyst; electrolytic solvent; paint scavenger and various crystalline solvent adducts and complexes. (4) Used as solvent, paint remover, catalyst and used in organic synthesis.
